After a successful debut season, Asha is set to elevate her racing career by taking on a new challenge this year.

40-year-old Asha joined the team in 2023, shortly after receiving a formal diagnosis for adult autism and ADHD. Having no race experience behind her, she completed her first ever season of racing as a rookie in the C1 series. This year, she will move up a level, driving the team’s BMW M240i in the Britcar Trophy Championship alongside teammate Noah Cosby.

Richard Tyler, CEO of Phinsys, said:

"Asha's progress from the C1 series to the BMW M240i in just her second season is a testament to her incredible skill and perseverance. We are honoured to sponsor such a passionate and dedicated athlete and support Team Brit in 2024. Their commitment to inclusivity and empowering individuals to overcome challenges, mirrors our own dedication to excellence and supporting talent.”

Team BRIT, known for its pioneering hand control technology, enables disabled drivers to compete alongside able-bodied competitors. The technology also ensures teammates with different disabilities can race together. Asha’s teammate Noah is paraplegic so will use the hand controls, whereas Asha can use the standard car set up.

In 2023, the team built on its success in Europe, following a class win at Spa for GT4 drivers Aaron Morgan and Bobby Trundley in the McLaren Trophy, Europe. This year, the McLarens return to the UK with the team’s most experienced drivers vying for an all-out win in the  British Endurance Championship.,

With her inspirational progress, Asha will play a key part in the team’s continued development.

Mike Scudamore, Commercial Director of Team BRIT, said:

"We're delighted to welcome Phinsys as a sponsor. Their support for Asha highlights the importance of inclusivity in sports and will enable her to strive for new heights and continue to challenge the norms in racing.”

Asha's passion for motorsport was ignited in her childhood, as she grew up idolising racing legends. Her story is one of triumph over adversity, using racing as a platform to inspire and advocate for mental health awareness and gender inclusivity in sports.

Asha's dedication to her sport and her advocacy work makes her an ideal representative for Phinsys and Team BRIT, and she hopes her story will inspire others facing similar challenges and encourage more women to join the sport.

Asha commented:

"I’m incredibly grateful for the support from Phinsys in my second season. I’m not just racing for myself, but for everyone who has faced obstacles and dared to dream big. I hope my story can inspire others, especially women and those with similar challenges, to pursue their passions."

Phinsys’ branding will be featured across all the Team BRIT cars and drivers, but more prominently on Asha’s BMW M240i, helmet, and race suit, symbolising their support for her aspirations in motorsport.
